Electronics on the Cheap I buy the cheapest electronic modules and components I can find, direct from China, and try to do interesting and useful things with them. Currently playing with: ESP8266 WiFi modules, Arduino microcontrollers, nRF24L01+ wireless data transceivers, OLED LCD LED displays and sensors, high power LEDs and drivers, DC/DC buck, boost and SEPIC converters, lithium cells and chargers, USB power banks. Long term projects include: Arduino-based MPPT and PWM solar charge controllers, Wearable Data Display with OLED and wireless transceiver, electric bike upgrade to LiFePo4 cells, APM quadcopter, MOSFET driver design using opto-isolators. Thinking about playing with: 3D printers. Absolutely won't touch: Unbranded cheap mains powered devices.
