SO, it's the question which has plagued people from all walks for ages... because TO BE THIS GOOD TAKES AGES. Sonic Mania vs. Sonic 1.... Sonic Mania has hardly gone under the radar, the hype alone has been huge, but now the latest Sonic installment is here, and it looks like a proper sonic game, how does it compare to the Sonics from the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive era?
This video is my review of Sonic Mania. But like any review I provide, it's littered with back references and comparisons to Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and that godawful thing known as Sonic 4.
Oh, you'll also witness an Xbox ONE hooked up to a non HDMI, 14" CRT TV. Because Sonic is MEANT to be played on a 1990s CRT! Regardless of what the people say.
