'The Amazing Spider-Man' Sequel Searching For New Harry Osborn

We know Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, but word is another classic character is set to return and we've got some ideas on who should play him.
Along with the news that Mary Jane Watson was set to make an appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was reports that director Marc Webb is on the search for an actor to play Norman Osborn's son, Harry - played by actor James Franco in the original trilogy. Like in the previous Sam Raimi films and comics, Harry will most likely be Peter Parker's best friend and early love interest for Mary Jane. So which young star has what it takes to play the new Harry and potential Goblin Junior?
Our first pick would have to be Joseph Gordon-Levitt. His star power is at an all-time high right now following roles in The Dark Knight Rises and Looper and we think he would be a perfect choice to play both best friend and rival to Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. Plus, we know he can play the baddie after his turn as Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe. And we may never see him suit up as Robin, Batman or even Nightwing, but we would let that dream die if he became the new Green Goblin.
Of course, one thing JGL has against him is he may just be too big a star to take on a secondary, best-friend role. For someone a little less known, but has proven he can play equal parts best friend and potential baddie, how about Ezra Miller? He garnered a lot of praise for his portrayal of a creepy teen who commits a massacre at his high school in We Need to Talk About Kevin and can currently be seen in the best-friend role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower opposite Logan Lerman.
If you're sitting there thinking, yeah they're okay, but I loved James Franco as Harry in the original trilogy. Then how about casting mini-James Franco in the role, younger brother Dave Franco? It could just be crazy enough to work!

As for Harry's dad Norman, aka Spider-Man's ultimate foe, the Green Goblin? We know from interviews with director Marc Webb and the cast that Pappa Osborn won't be the big baddie until part three. So who will Spider-Man do battle with in part two? Rumors are pointing toward Electro, a villain with the power to manipulate electricity. The end credits scene eluded to the appearance of Electro with the silhouetted man appearing in the cell with Dr. Connors after a flash of lightning. Though there has been no confirmation of Electro as of yet.
