Bradley Cooper Talks Voicing Rocket Raccoon

For Chris Pratt it was all about perfecting the Star Lord physique in Guardians of the Galaxy, but for Bradley Cooper it's all about whipping his voice into perfect shape. Bradley Cooper will lend his voice to the gun-wielding rodent Rocket Raccoon in Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, but it sounds like we may not recognize it when we see the movie hit theaters on August 1st, 2014. Cooper spoke with Collider about the fact that he and director James Gunn are in the middle of shooting his scenes right now, but he also spoke a little about what we can expect from the voice of Rocket Raccoon. Cooper said quote "You know, one thing we debated was he's seen as a cockney accent sometimes. So we talked about whether we'd do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit." Cooper also admitted that he wasn't familiar with the comic before being cast, but that now he really loves Rocket's character. And from the footage he's seen so far, Cooper has nothing but amazing things to say about Chris Pratt's performance as Star Lord calling him "unbelievable" and "the perfect guy." Speaking of Chris Pratt he also shares a deep love for Rocket Raccoon, and in a recent interview with IGN called him "the best character in the movie." Pratt's Star Lord, will likely be spending a lot of time with the animated raccoon in the movie. And he's almost as excited as Cooper (if not more) about Rocket's voice saying quote "[James Gunn] had a reason for choosing Bradley, and he's saying now that the voice that they've been working on is really awesome." Pratt also said that while they have a great cast of actors, Cooper brings a star power quality to the movie that it needs saying quote "we don't have Bradley Cooper in the movie until we have Bradley Cooper in the movie!"
