HQ 6x3x3 v1s - Prop Review

The HQ 6x3x3 v1s is the third prop in HQ's new lineup and holy crap you would almost think you're flying a 5" if you didn't look at it! But definitely more overall power and definitely less agility than a good 5". Whereas other companies rely on gizmos to design the most efficient, fastest, best anything prop, HQ shows that they have supremacy of flight feel over and over again. However they've made some very interesting decisions and this prop is not without flaw. First off, durability is probably better than any 6-inch prop so far. Unfortunately, the material is not stiff enough to hold up to high RPM and wrings out past ~2300kv and 4S. The low pitch is probably the most distinct feature and makes the prop extremely efficient, easy to swing and responsive, but it also makes it somewhat slow. When coupled with the more effective size of 6", the lower pitch is acceptable because you'll get a lot of that speed back if your AUW is around the same as a 5" build (560-590g AUW). At 5.6g the 6" HQ prop is actually lighter than some 5" props and it draws less amps at max than all but a couple 5" props too which is an absolute shock! Five minutes on a 1600mah 4S shouldn't be too difficult. A word of caution, if I wasn't clear, this prop is NOT exactly a racing blade and you probably won't be doing that with it. You will however hugely enjoy cursing around with drastically extended flight times and nearly no sacrifice other than some top end when compared to 5" options. Oh yeah, no more jello than any given 5" either :-)
