Will Ewan McGregor be coming back for another Star Wars movie?

Clevver’s Jackie Iadonisi sat down with Ewan McGregor for his upcoming directorial debut, American Pastoral and because we couldn’t resist getting another temperature check on whether or not he is even still interested in coming back to the franchise to play Obi Wan…we had to ask him about Star Wars and if he’d want to return
Cinema Blend also interviewed McGregor recently and inquired about whether or not he would be interested in DIRECTING a future Star Wars film and he excitingly answered:
Oh my god, I never thought of that! Well, there you go! I don't know. I literally never thought of that before…you're the first person to suggest that I might direct it! Just have a word with Disney.
To some it may seem like McGregor wouldn’t have the experience to helm such a blockbuster project, but Hollywood has seen a lot of success recently with directors who were more “low budget/indie film” directors like James Gunn & Colin Trevorrow.
