Wltoys K989 1 28 Rc Drift Project EP13 Steering Angle Mod To Make Sharper Turns With a Servo Upgrade
Today you're going to learn how to get more steering angle on your Wltoys k989 1/28 Rc drift car to make sharper turns using the stock transmitter and a cheap servo upgrade with a simple modification to the top plate to make some room for the longer servo arm
There are two mods the easy one is just removing the top plate and drift with more flex in the chassis or you make a custom top plate from a carbon sheet like we show in the video
We do recommend to try drifting without a top plate a lot of people like to drift with a bit more roll and flex in the chassis
It those worn out your pinion gears because they are under a lot more stress every time the chassis flex
In the first test run the steering angle mod works perfect and nothing binds at full lock and it is so much easier to make a sharp turn and countersteer while drifting at a crazy angle is amazing
