ANTMAN Movie Adding Patrick Wilson
Patrick Wilson seems to be the latest actor joining Marvel's Phase 3 Ant-Man film! We are still trying to sort out the details on this one, but it's a big enough update that we couldn't wait to tell you about it. Sources close to both The Wrap AND Deadline are revealing that The Conjuring and Insidious star Patrick Wilson is next to join the cast of Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man movie. One source is saying that Wilson is in negotiations and the other is saying that he has landed the role, so we're thinking that worse case scenario he is probably in final negotiations. We haven't heard any word yet on which character Wilson would potentially play, although there is a rumor going around that he could possibly be up for "another charismatic leading man" role that Marvel was looking for recently with one theory being that he could play a third Ant-man character from the comics called Eric O'Grady. There is also speculation that he could be playing a younger version of Hank Pym in the story, as well as the main villain. If this news is confirmed, Wilson would be joining an interesting but still very impressive cast that includes Paul Rudd and Oscar winner Michael Douglass, who are playing Scott Lang and Hank Pym, respectively. We've also heard that Lost and The Hobbit star, Evangeline Lilly and Shooter star Michael Pena are also in various stages of negotiations for unspecified roles. Par for the course, Marvel has had no comment on the news.
