Carrie Fisher reveals that she will be shooting for Star Wars Episode VII for SIX months in London. That is according to Fisher's Legit co-star Jim Jefferies, who spilled the beans on Sirius XM's Opie and Anthony Show. Jefferies said that Carrie told him straight up, "I'm going off to London for SIX months to film the new Star Wars movie. " Up until now, we were pretty confident that Fisher as well as Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill would be returning to reprise their roles in some capacity. Afterall, earlier this year Fisher spilled the beans to TV Guide confirming that the three of them would be back. However, many folks were just assuming that their roles would be limited to a couple of cameos. But six months!? That's a long shooting schedule for just a cameo! Late last year, then Star Wars screenwriter Michael Arndt exited the project, and many believed that his decision to do so was because Arndt wanted to focus on a new generation of characters, but director JJ Abrams wanted to give the original characters a final, fitting, sendoff. So, with Abrams now collaborating on the script with Empire Strikes Back writer Lawrence Kasdan, AND this Carrie Fisher shooting schedule news, we feel like the original characters will definitely have significant roles in Episode VII. Jefferies also gave some insight into what he knows about the storyline saying "and I don't think from looking at it, the new Star Wars movie is a direct continuation. It's number 7 but it's not going to be the next day, I'll tell you that much. Maybe she had the same problem the Emperor had..." There have been many reports that Fisher was working hard to get her 57 year old body back into Princess Leia shape, but that doesn't mean she's not enjoying her life. Jefferies said that Fisher is pretty funny off set, and that she will go out for a smoke and as soon as she gets back inside, she's "straight on to the vapor" to keep her nicotine high. Now, other than R2D2, Disney has yet to confirm a single human cast member for Episode VII, however there is one guy who is supposedly in the running to play the films villain, and to get more info on that, click right here So, would you like to see the original Star Wars crew get more screen time in Episode VII, or are you hoping to see more of a new cast?
