Naze32 yaw and roll issues (2 crashes and some first FPV flights)
Please help me find a cure here!
I have converted my DRQ250 Miniquad (which I flew now over a year in the same KK2.1 config) to use the Naze32 rev5.
Worked really easy - setup was a charm - short review will come.
BUT: there is this one bug on roll / yaw that produced 2 crashes now.
►Facts:
- sorry I don't really know which version of baseflight is installed here - but I ordered the FC a few weeks ago at PitchPump.de - and they surely sell it with current version. (it was nicely presoldered and configured btw.).
- flying in RATE MODE all the time (read somewhere that MAG is even working in RATE mode and can be the cause?)
- Crashes happend in mid to high winds!
- when I was turning (YAW) to the left in medium fwd speed.
- didn't happen on 2 flights in calm evening conditions
- did calibrate accelerometer and Magnetometer (I thought this was couse of first crash because in the Software you could notice after turning the quad on YAW axis the 3D model on in the software kept slowly turning after I stopped the movement - this was gone after MAG-calibration)
- had NO issues on many flights with same motor/prop/ESC combination and same weight with KK2 board
- in the morning flight of today (last part of video) you see that after rolls it tended to turn INTO the wind direction (heading towards our company complex) which is why on one roll it YAWed left and later the other roll it YAWed right (because the copters heading was 180° different).
In both cases I was lucky to have my Loc8tor on board. They are so convenient for quad retrival in the fields. Check out my review from last year if you're interested - there's even a still working coupon code to get a few bucks off!
