Ever since Thanos made an appearance in the end-credit scene of The Avengers, there has been much speculation on where the big villain would be showing up next and now we may have the answer.
Cosmic Book News spoke with Thanos creator Jim Starlin who says the "deal is in place" and Marvel fans everywhere can look forward to seeing the villainous Titan not only in Guardians Of The Galaxy but also in The Avengers sequel which is set for release in 2015.
No confirmation directly from Marvel on this, but it has been thought that Thanos would be appearing in both films with the Guardians of the Galaxy recruiting The Avengers to help take him down.
In other Guardians Of The Galaxy news, director James Gunn officially announced his role in the film. The self-described "lifelong lover of Marvel comics" confirmed that he'll be rewriting and directing the film, via his Facebook page. Gunn has been on the short list to direct the film for some time and Joss Whedon virtually confirmed Gunn's involvement, so although it comes as no surprise, it's always nice to hear it directly from the source.
We'll have to wait until August 2014 to see Guardians Of The Galaxy in theaters, but we're pretty excited after hearing these announcements. Are you ready for more Thanos?
