Vin Diesel Looking For Love At Marvel

Vin Diesel continues to tease fans about his latest meeting with Marvel. According to his social media updates, the actor was brought in for a meeting with Marvel just a couple of weeks ago, and following that meeting he posted this photo of himself on his Facebook page with a statement that said quote "Marvel meeting today. Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...P.s. Thanks to our page, for pushing to make it happen...you know I get tunnel vision with my work...and after that meeting today...wow! And just this weekend at Comic Con, Diesel decided to drop another little teaser our way and told attendees at the Riddick panel that there will be some "very big news" coming at the end of the month about what role he will play in a future Marvel property. He went into more detail in an interview with Entertainment Weekly later that day saying quote "I could tell you that Marvel was excited about bringing a different kind of relationship or love story, I guess kind of inspired from the Dom-Letty relationship (from Fast & The Furious), into the Marvel universe." Now this is leading a lot of people to speculate that Diesel could be playing the ultimate baddie, Thanos, with the "love story" being his relationship with Death, while others think this confirms his long rumored portrayal of the android Vision with the love story focusing on his relationship with new Avengers: Age of Ultron addition Scarlet Witch, who becomes his wife in the comics. However, Marvel President Kevin Feige is telling the Huffington Post that Diesel may be fooling us all about this "role" that he appears to have landed. Feige says quote "It's so far ahead it may not even exist. So, there's nothing to announce. But, I love Vin and he's an amazing personality. Look how much attention he's gotten for a meeting. He's incredibly shrewd. He's got a Riddick movie that I can't wait to see. And the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, in addition to Vin, is a franchise I admire a lot for turning the sixth and next year the seventh into the biggest and most popular one. As far as a piece of it? Could someday we do a 'Luke Cage: Hero for Hire' in that kind of vein. Totally." So, maybe we will see a Diesel/Marvel announcement at the end of the month, or maybe we wont, but we will be sure to keep our feelers out there for any updates on this and all of your favorite Marvel news.
