Wasp To Appear In 'Iron Man 3'?

We know that director Joss Whedon wants a new female superhero to join the ranks of The Avengers and Ant-Man's better half Wasp is a likely candidate, but could we be seeing the character sooner than we think?
Talk of Wasp making an appearance in Iron Man 3 isn't new, but heated up once again recently when a tweet from Roger Wardell, who is notorious in giving Marvel inside news, recently tweeted, "When Stephanie Szostak's role for Iron Man 3 is announced, fans will go crazy." So far, little is known about Szostak's role in the film as we don't even have a name yet. We got a quick look at the French actress in the trailer where she is seen throwing Tony Stark up against the wall in a presumed make-out session that Tony may or may not be a willing participant in.
An unnamed "tipster" told ComicBook.com that Szostak will in fact be playing Janet van Dyne, the spoiled rich girl who eventually becomes Avengers founding member Wasp. As for her close relationship with Stark, the pair have dated in the comics, so a Stark / Van Dyne relationship would be possible. Of course, the likelihood of her actually becoming Wasp in the film is low as Marvel has stated that Iron Man 3 would be a standalone film, but it could be the perfect opportunity for her to be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Of course, there are other characters that Szostak could be playing and one clue could be in the original tweet that Wardell sent out. Originally, the tweet used the word "nuts" instead of "crazy" for how fans would react to the character's reveal. There is a Marvel character called "Nut" who is an Egyptian Goddess. Could Szostak's character be her and not Wasp? Okay, probably not, but something to consider.
Of course Szostak could be playing a minor character in the film and not a superhero at all, but if that was the case, than why all the secrecy?
