Drama King: Nicki Minaj's Outrageous Video ►►
It was long rumored that Jennifer Lawrence would be making a cameo in Dumb and Dumber To. Well, that didn’t pan out, but it turns out another big star did and you may have already seen him and didn’t know it. With the release of the long awaited sequel, it’s been revealed that none other than Bill Murray makes a surprise cameo in the film, but it’s one you may not even be aware of even after seeing the movie. Yep, believe it or not that’s Murray playing Harry’s Breaking Bad roommate “Ice Pick”. The Farrelly’s told Vulture that the idea came about, because they thought it would be funny to get someone iconic to play a role where you never see their face and who is more iconic than Bill Murray? Of course, they aren’t the only ones who’ve thought it would be cool to have Murray show up in their movies and in honor of his latest cameo, we thought we’d count down the best Bill Murray movie cameos of all-time. We should point out that we are focusing on roles where it was a bit of surprise to see him show up, so cameos in films like Space Jam and The Grand Budapest Hotel are not included. Taking the number 6 spot is 1988’s She’s Having a Baby in which Murray appears at the end of the film along with a number of other celebs and regular folks suggesting a name for Kevin Bacon and Elizabeth McGovern’s on-screen baby. Our number 5 pick is 2003’s Coffee and Cigarettes which features Murray playing himself hiding out as a waiter and meeting Wu Tang Clan members RZA and GZA. Of course, Murray and Wes Anderson have become synonymous with one another so it’s not too surprising when Murray showed up in the opening scene of 2007’s The Darjeeling Limited playing a businessman traversing the busy streets of India attempting to board the title train. It’s still a welcome addition and includes a great moment when one of the film’s stars, Adrien Brody suddenly appears, also running for the train. Unfortunately, Murray doesn’t make it and it’s the last we see of him, but it’s worthy enough to be our number 4 pick. Taking the number 3 spot is Murray’s surprising cameo as “Agent 13” opposite Steve Carell in 2008’s Get Smart. Perhaps Marvel should have looked to Murray to voice Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy considering he already has experience playing a tree? Just a thought. Our number 2 pick goes to Murray’s cameo as “Arthur Denton”, a masochist who goes to Steve Martin’s sadistic dentist for a root canal, a role played by a young Jack Nicholson in the original 1960 film. Which leads us to our number 1 Bill Murray cameo, 2009’s Zombieland. Murray once again plays himself and it was not only completely surprising to see him show up, but remains one of the greatest movie cameos of all-time. So there you have it, our list of the best Bill Murray movie cameos. How does our list compare to yours? Are there any that we missed?
