Michael Bay Responds To CES Epic Fail

Michael Bay storms off stage during a live presentation at a Consumer Electronics Show, and we have the details. Movie moguls have embarrassing moments too! Director and producer Michael Bay, was a guest speaker at this year's CES tech conference in Las Vegas for Samsung to help promote one of their new televisions by showing some footage from Transformers 4. Unfortunately, Bay's nerves got the best of him and when he lost his spot on the teleprompter he kinda freaked out. Take a look: Ok, so it goes without saying that it wasn't the most confident moment in the overly confident director's career. However, there is something to be said about facing the music when things go awry, and that's exactly what Bay did. In response to his actions, Bay took to his blog to explain saying quote "Wow, I just embarrassed myself at CES - I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down - then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing." Bay went on to say that despite his very public mishap, he is working on a special curved screen experience with Samsung that will feature footage from Transformers 4. No specifics on when or where we will get to experience this for ourselves, but he did mention that it will be "travelling the world". To his defense, it's not easy reading a teleprompter when you don't do it often, and I am sure it's even more challenging when you're not use to being in front of the camera. Even still, there are a lot of haters out there who are saying that Bay should have known enough about the product to be able to talk candidly, without the use of a prompter. Then there were those folks who just got a good laugh at Bay's plight, like Funny or Die who tweeted quote "Michael Bay stormed off stage at CES after his teleprompter broke. No script, big explosions, & a disappointed audience. Dude's still got it!" But where do you stand on the big Michael Bay sudden walk-off?
