Unfortunrlay, I am sad to report that bev hills cop 4 wont be happening according to the closest source to the franchise, eddie murphy.
In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Eddie Murphy talked candidly about both his career choices and the long promised Beverly Hills Cop 4, which he says will never happen. Heres what murphy said, quote:
"They're not doing it. What I'm trying to do now is produce a TV show starring Axel Foley's son, and Axel is the chief of police now in Detroit. I'd do the pilot, show up here and there. None of the movie scripts were right; it was trying to force the premise. If you have to force something, you shouldn't be doing it. It was always a rehash of the old thing. It was always wrong."
He also went on to say he wants to take on more EDGY roles, like his latest role in Tower heist where you can check him out as Slide. Tower Heist hits the big screen on nov 4th.
