Buy it on Amazon - (affiliate link) The Asus Chromebit is a full ChromeOS PC that works great and is very reasonably priced.
See my Chrome 101 video to learn more about what ChromeOS is:
It is powered by a Rockchip 3288 processor that we're seeing in a number of Chrome and Android devices lately. It performs exceptionally well for the price, delivering excellent video playback and browsing performance. It really feels snappy.
The device has 2 gigs of RAM and 16 gigabytes of storage. It plugs into an HDMI port on any television or monitor and boots up in just a few seconds. It supports bluetooth keyboards and mice as well as USB devices through its single USB 2.0 port.
My only gripe is that although it does seek out a bluetooth keyboard the first time it's switched on, it doesn't seem to look for a keyboard on subsequent boots. That means if you don't pair something up with it the first time, your only option to gain access to the computer is to plug in a USB device. It would be nice to see more flexibility for input devices.
That one little gripe aside this is a great desktop device for fans of ChromeOS.
