2nd BoomRacing ASIAN SCALE INVASION ReconG6 HK 17 RC Truck 4x4 Defender/U4 Racing/1.9 Comp/3K Trials

This year scale RC drivers from around the world flew to Hong Kong to attend the 2nd Boom Racing Asian Scale Invasion Recon G6 presented by Kerry Hotel. In both Saturday and Sunday, took the 7am hotel bus from Kerry Hotel in Hung Hum and traveled to the outskirts of Hong Kong in the New Territories. Drivers needed to complete six Recon G6 trails with a total of 350 gates in two days. On Saturday, G6ers entered into two special events of their choice, including Team Raffee Co. Defender Challenge, where they had to race their Defender truck through a natural terrain with twenty gates; and Pit Bull RC 3K Trial Race, a marathon style event where one hundred G6ers ran ten 0.2mile laps (approx 3000 meters).
On Sunday, G6ers continued their adventure to finish the remaining trails. There were two more special events; the Team DC 1.9 Time Attack Comp, where G6ers drover their 1.9" wheel crawlers on a made made course with 20 gates and competed against each other for time and accuracy; and Castle Creations U4 Rock Racing, with 1.9 and 2.2 open classes; Parker had they do 3 heats and a final to determine the eventual winners. Over 70 rock racers joined in on these two races. The scene was insane with so many racers on the same track!
On Sunday night sponsors, drivers, and all the volunteers and staff gathered at the Kerry Hotel Dockyard Food Hall for the Awards & Raffle ceremony over a complementary buffet dinner with free flow beverages sponsored by Kerry Hotel. Prizes from sponsors topped $20k USD and lots of people went home happy with raffle prizes. It was one hellava event with miles of smiles.
