Gate Breaker - Prop Discussion

Summary: (it's a 5x5.3x3. I got that wrong...)
From the meaty hub to the sharp winglets with a complex airfoil throughout, this prop screams science from every detail. The Gate Breaker is Luminiers newest attempt at creating a universal purpose race prop. Lessons learned from previous designs have lead them to a prop that feels extremely durable with a confidence-inspiring hub that will probably be its downfall due to the rest of the blade being so strong. Unfortunately, this durability comes with an almost required 4.9 gram minimum which inadvertently impacts the props response a little. In flight however, the Gate Breakers steep pitch helps make up for its weight and it is one of the smoother props I have felt. They sound like vacuum cleaners and the overall throttle feels like an exaggerated 5x4x3 with almost artificial feeling torque down low and a good bit more speed up high. Again thanks to the steep pitch, drift is at an all-time low and grip is high. The amp draw is somewhat high and on par with the Cyclone 5046.
Luminer has 'scienced' the sky and landed on a good general use prop seemingly with the durability to fit in with the Cyclone for racing although only time will tell. The rigidity and pitch of this prop make it a decent high speed option and the high cruising speed is particularly appreciated for long range flights. It was probably intended for 2207/2306 motors, but the 3.3g DAL T5051C has made me want to also see it in a much lighter, less durable and lower pitch acro version. Lastly, this prop has a trick up it's sleeve that you'll be extremely thankful for in time...
