Inside Inventable's Carvey
Carvey is a robotic CNC machine that uses spinning tools to swipe through metal, wood and plastic. It isn’t a 3D printer. In fact it’s the opposite. The seamless, well-designed tool for designers and makers is easy to use; it starts with a block of material and carves around your design. At $2,000, it's comparable in price to Glowforge, which uses laser technology to cut and engrave similar materials.
