Details on How To modify your DJI Inspire 1 controller for use with aftermarket antennas...
There are many ways to solve the cosmetic aspects of this install... this is just one of them.
You could leave your stock antennas right where they are so the 5.8gHz channel remains intact, saving yourself the step of removing the siliconed u.fl connector and chopping a perfectly good antenna in half to make it fit.
You could use the existing antenna holes to mount the SMA jacks somehow... I just never found a way of doing that where it looks clean and makes me confident it would last the life of the unit.
Anyway... lot's of ideas out there... this is just my take on how it should be done to be not only clean looking... but solid and dependable as well.
Good luck and FLY SAFE OUT THERE GUYS!!
