Still working on the tear down and rebuild of my Redcat Racing Rampage XB-E XBE. This info should also help you guys with Rampage XT and XB as the parts are the same. The Rampage MT and TT use some of the same components as well but they have two sets of spider gears inside the diff while the "x" series only uses one.
All of the bearings and gears seam to be in good shape although one of the internal, rubber sealed bearings is a little gritty. I'll be replacing all of the bearings with Avid RC bearings.
Watch out for an upcoming video on my thoughts on the Avid bearings vs Redcat bearings.
I'll be filling the front and rear diffs with 3000 wt diff lube...maybe too thin but only time will tell. I just watched a review of the new Losi 5ive-t and they said that the 5IVE will have 7000 wt in the front, 5000 wt in the center and 2000 in the rear. Do you guys think I should use a thicker fluid than 3000 in my front diff?
