This is the second video in this quadcopter build series and it's one of the easiest steps - frame assembly. It's straightforward but you can't continue without it. This video will show you step by step how to assemble SK450 frame kit as well as some tricks you should use while doing this.
Here is part list of all the parts that I am going to use until the end of this build series:
Tips:
1. Use threadlocker on EVERY screw where you have "metal on metal" contact. Multicopters create a lot of vibration and if you don't use threadlocker, screws will come undone and you will crash.
2. After tightening screws on upper plate (PCB plate), make sure you retighten screws on lower one as well. While the threadlocker is still fresh you need to make sure all of the screws are tight. Lower screws could come loose after screwing upper ones.
3. Use threadlocker with MEDIUM strength. These screws are very small and using high strength threadlocker could lock the screw so hard that you won't be able to unscrew it ever again.
4. Tighten plastic spacers and nuts using ONLY your fingers. Otherwise, you could easily strip them.
WARNING:
For the best results later in the build and use of this quadcopter, make sure you orientate the PCB plate the same way I did in the video. The length of the wire is not random and it's chosen so that wires will be long enough (but yet short enough) for easy use.
