It's pretty much confirmed now that soft mounting your motors is definitely the thing to do to reduce vibrations. Along with soft mounting your flight controller it's now the standard.
In this video, I review a soft mount system specifically designed to fit the Diatone GT-2. This system of 3D printed TPU mounts uses a subtle change to the approach adopted by others. Rather than using a single soft mount to isolate the motor from the frame, it has a second soft mount to isolate the bolts from the frame with some load spreading washers.
It's also acts as a frame protector to keep your GT-2 frame free of scuffs and bumps.
I've been running this on my GT-2 for a while and I found it really helped reduce the prop wash oscillations I was getting.
You can buy the kit here, complete with mounts, new bolts and washers
If you wanted proof that soft mounting isn't just hype, Joshua Bardwell did an excellent analysis and busted that myth
