New Superman Outfit Spotted On Batman v Superman Set

We’re getting our first look at Henry Cavill in his new Man of Steel outfit on the set of Batman v Superman! Though filming on DC’s flagship Justice League movie has been going on for some time, we have yet to see either Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck or Gal Gadot on set donning their signature hero costumes…that is until now. Though Cavill was trying to hide his new Superman costume with a large robe, photogs managed to captured photos of the star in his signature Man of Steel threads, giant S and all. Though we already got a chance to see Supes’ new threads in a previously released official photo and those lucky enough to have seen the brief footage at Comic Con (or sneaked a peek at the leaked footage) got a chance to see it in action, this set pic gives us a better look at some of the suit’s minor changes from the Man of Steel version. For instance, the symbol on his chest is slightly lower and most notably the suit appears to be shaded to further emphasize Cavill’s muscular frame. Another change is his “belt” has gone from circular to rectangle and the color of the suit just seems all around brighter. Despite how excited we are to finally see Cavill back in his Superman duds, we can’t wait to finally get a better look at Ben Affleck in his Batsuit and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Fingers crossed it won’t be long, but of course we’ll all get a chance to see DC’s trinity in action when Batman v Superman hits theaters on March 25th, 2016.
