So i finally decided on a frame for use to build and protect my F4V5Pro, the Awesome UAV GX-215, its a stretch-X layout and comes in fancy colours! not stick on vinyl. i particularly like this design as the slot cuts in the carbon that mate up to the machined protrusions in the aluminium just scream strength to me. ive seen a few other D-quad offerings and while they are all good and unique in their own right. this one stood out for the simple fact it is utilizing the carbon and aluminium together better than just a simple bolt in plate, you would be surprised how much stress that slot cut to alloy protrusion interface would take, the semi soft alloy with the stiffness of carbon working together properly here, without stressing the mounting bolts of either the plate or the uprights.
mounting a recording camera might seem like an impossibility on this frame. but everything works out quite well with the standoffs and the slot cuts in the alloy, just behind the camera :)
The F4 V5PRO performed flawlessly, even when i flashed omnibusf4 target BF 3.2.0, with the only issue being osd gui isnt showing on the configurator. easily adjusted in cli, but took a little getting used to the knowing which values did what. vtx was set to 200mw with flight being just after a night of heavy rain. (one dead tree especially always gives me interference on every quad.)
the littlebee32 30a esc's i just ran as is out of the box, soldering the wires around for motor direction. seeing as tho through the f4v5pro i cannot get it to read, shws up as cannot detect bootloader or erased. and as far as i know there isnt a 30a littlebee firmware released yet. i know there is for the 35a version. but it runs dshot1200 fine out of the box, and seeing Drone Mesh test the 35a and showing noise. i will definitely step up to 35v 1000uf cap on power input. i seem to get discolouration of fpv feed when the voltage spikes or backfeeds... usually after high throttle to mid to low then mid...
MAD 2306 2750kv motors... these are MAD! i changed the warpattan setup to 2400kv as these 2750 kv exploded my overweight 9grams per 6045x3BN props that i used to stress them out. well... the motors came down cool, the props all exploded! no where near peak kvrpm. the 2400kv seems to be doing better with less battery load and more torque, the lift always forces my camera down tho. these 2750kv have done their duties. motors weigh in at 30g each. thrust is a claimed 2kg+ with 2750kv and 6040x3 props. ive flown with this setup, its nuts! awaiting results from EngineerX.
