HK 250-GT Review & Flight Demonstration
My latest heli! This is the HK 250GT, the Align T-Rex 250 clone. Before building this heli, I did a lot of research on RC Groups here:
I'd recommend anyone to do the same - there are lots of stories of parts failing on stock setups of this model.
Here's my setup:
HK 250GT
HXT-900 cyclic servos
TGY DS480 tail servo
HK G401B gyro
Turnigy Plush 18A ESC
Turnigy 2627-4200kv motor with 12t pinion
Parts I replaced as a precaution before flying:
Feathering shaft
Belt
Blades
This helicopter flies very well - this power setup results in about 4500RPM with very little bog. Cyclic rates are very good, and the inexpensive gyro / tail servo combination is very effective for the money spent. All in all, I'm very happy with this helicopter.
