JURASSIC WORLD Finds Its Villain
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will have more than dinosaurs to deal with when the 4th installment of Jurassic Park arrives next year. Deadline reports that Vincent D'Onofrio has landed the role of the main villain in the film, titled Jurassic World. No specifics on what the part will actually be, but we're guessing he'll have some nefarious plans for those dinosaurs or perhaps will be the reason that they are, based on the title, leaving the confines of the park and threatening to take over the world. In addition to D'Onofrio, the outlet also reveals that Irrfan Khan, who you probably know from The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi, will also appear, though there are no specifics on who exactly he'll actually play. Despite a delay that forced its release date to be pushed from this year to June 12th, 2015, development on Jurassic World seems to be moving forward nicely with plans currently for production to begin in early June. Colin Trevorrow is set to direct from a screenplay he co-wrote and original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg is on board to produce. Though many have been referring to the new film as a reboot, Trevorrow has preferred to call it quote, "a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park." Reboot or not, do NOT expect to see any of the original film's characters to show up. Sam Neill, who played Dr. Alan Grant in the first and third film has previously stated that he is unlikely to return and in a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Jurassic Park 1 and 2 star Jeff Goldblum said he hasn't been called to appear in Jurassic World and isn't too surprised considering he never got a call for part 3 either. As for who WILL star in Jurassic World, Chris Pratt recently spoke about the film and his landing the coveted role in the much anticipated "sci-fi terror adventure" and you can click right here to get the full story on that: So what are we thinking about Vincent D'Onofrio playing the baddie among a world full of dinosaurs?
