How important is it that horror movie cast members are able to act like they’re scared on command? Terrifyingly important. So, when Annabelle: Creation director David F. “One thing I did with all of the kids was, I wanted to make sure they could look scared, just because that’s so important,” Sandberg told Julia Cunningham, from Sirius XM’s EW channel at San Diego Comic Con last weekend. “I just told them. ‘Okay, here’s a monster!’ and they had to act terrified, which is really hard, because they don’t have anything to act to, and that’s sort of the reality on a horror movie set a lot.”
Annabelle: Creation will be released Aug. 11. Watch the full interview with Sandberg and cast members Anthony LaPaglia, Lulu Wilson, Talitha Bateman, and Stephanie Sigman, above.
