It was great to see Dale’s beautiful Hangar 9 Twin Otter out at the field again. During this flight, Dale shared the sky with a couple of our resident Bald Eagles who were putting on a great display of formation flying .
This is an attractive, great flying scale model and it’s a shame that it has been discontinued. It would be nice to think that Horizon Hobby would make this plane available again. This model is sought after in the used marketplace.
Although the model has been discontinued, Hangar 9 still has a page up in case you are interested in any of the details. This model came from Horizon Hobby with US Air Force livery however, given that the color scheme is also very close to the RCMP’s colors, Dale now has the plane serving with Canada’s Mounties.
