Mario To Appear In 'Wreck-It Ralph' Sequel

Wreck it Ralph was a huge blockbuster for Disney this year, as it broke records for Disney animation movies making over 49 million in its opening weekend domestically, and if you haven't seen it, you definitely should. It was named Best Animated Film by the National Board of Review and is also in the running for an Oscar nod. And just this week the cast is starting to talk about the real possibility of seeing more of our new favorite Disney characters on the big screen here really soon. The adorable film stars John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer who all play video game characters that all exist in one big arcade world together. When I saw the movie back in October, I felt like the story was too good to stop at the credits, and when I sat down with the cast here's what Rich Moore had to say to me...
Well, it looks like your dollars bills have super gaming powers people, because not only did Moore say in an interview yesterday that we will likely see a sequel, but also that our favorite video game star, Super Mario will be in the next film. Now, there were rumors going around initially that Nintendo didn't release the rights for Disney to use Mario in the first film, but Moore insists that that was not the case, but that he wasn't sure where to fit him in the story line. BUT he did tell Movie Hole quote "We'll really come up with something good for Mario to do [in the next film]"
The cast seems to be on board, and Rich Moore doesn't have any plans of giving the project to anyone else because he said loves the group so much!
