Dulcet has been releasing a steady flow of grade A techno and progressive beats over the last few years on labels such as JOOF and Research & Development. He now turns his sights to Techburst and comes at us head-on with a prime time hard techno EP that is aimed directly at the darkest and dirtiest of dance halls. First up we have Control which has the meatiest of kickdrums, menacing sub basslines, crunching 909 percussion and a filtered melody that teases and provokes until it’s fully let out of it’s cage at the crowd-pleasing main buildup. To finish the EP we have Truffle Hustle that is a slightly groovier affair with a catchy vocal that says I need a fix. A huge side-chaining saw bass is the main theme and is nicely complimented by subliminal melodies and hollow bass stabs throughout.
