Generator Hostel Stockholm - Sweden 4K Travel Channel

After our return from Lulea, we still want to stay in Stockholm for some days and visit some sights. Prior to our departure, we stayed at the Radisson Blue Waterfront as it is right next to the Stockholm Waterfront Convention Center. But now the conference is over and we do not have to stay near the Conference Center anymore. Stockholm is expensive and we look for a cheaper hotel.
We book the Generator Hostel Stockholm in Torsgatan 10, which has only opened a few days ago. It is close to the center and is easily accessible by bus. This stops at Barnhusgatan in front of the Skolgarden of the Norra Latin City Conference Center.
During the summer, you can have a drink or eat good food here in the Garden Bar & Grill. On the square stands the Maskrosbollen fountain which reminds of a faded dandelion. One built it according to the sketches of the Swedish politician Anita Modin.
Actually, we are skeptical about Hostels because we prefer to have a private room and a bath which we do not have to share with other persons. The Generator Hostel in Stockholm can offer all this.
On the ground floor is the spacious reception area with cafe. Adjacent is the bar Hilma, where one serves food and drinks. Here, you can start the day with a good breakfast.
Or, you go there with your laptop to work or to meet with friends and acquaintances. Besides that four professional and versatile conference rooms are also available. One in the ground floor and three in the first floor.
On the first floor, there is also a large chill-out area with TVs. And you find a self-service laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers. The self-service laundry was also one reason to book here.
The rooms are relatively small, but have everything you need. You look in vain for a TV in the room, but we did not miss it.
We enjoyed our stay in the Generator Hostel Stockholm and can recommend it with a good conscience.

Nach unserer Rückkehr aus Lulea wollen wir noch einige Tage in Stockholm bleiben und einige Sehenswürdigkeiten ansehen. Vor unserer Abreise haben im Radisson Blue Waterfront übernachtet, da es direkt neben dem Stockholm Waterfront Kongresszentrum liegt. Doch nun ist die Konferenz nun zu Ende ist, müssen wir nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe des Kongresszentrums wohnen. Stockholm ist relativ teuer und wir suchen ein preisgünstigeres Hotel.
Unsere Wahl fällt auf das Generator Hostel Stockholm in der Torsgatan 10, das erst vor wenigen Tagen geöffnet hat. Es liegt nahe dem Zentrum und ist mit dem Bus gut erreichbar. Dieser hält am Barnhusgatan vor dem Skolgarden des Norra Latin City Conference Centre.
Im Sommer kann man hier in der Garden Bar & Grill abends gut Essen oder auch nur etwas trinken kann. Auf dem Platz steht der Maskrosbollen Brunnen, der an einen verblühten Löwenzahn erinnern soll. Er wurde nach Skizzen des schwedischen Politikers Anita Modin gebaut.
Eigentlich sind wir skeptisch gegenüber Hostels, denn wir möchten in jedem Fall ein eigenes Zimmer und ein Bad, das wir nicht mit anderen Personen teilen müssen. Das Generator Hostel in Stockholm kann all dies bieten.
Im Erdgeschoss ist der großzügige Empfangsbereich mit Café. Angrenzend daran ist die Bar Hilma, wo es Essen und Getränke gibt. Morgens kann man hier den Tag mit einem guten Frühstück beginnen.
Man kann sich dort aber auch mit dem Laptop zurückziehen und arbeiten oder mit Bekannten und Freunden sich treffen. Daneben stehen auch vier professionelle und vielseitige Tagungsräume zur Verfügung. Einer im Erdgeschoss und drei in der ersten Etage.
Im 1.Flur gibt es außerdem einen großen Chill-out Bereich mit Fernsehern. Hier ist aber auch ein Automaten-Waschsalon mit Waschmaschinen und Wäschetrocknern untergebracht. Diese Waschmöglichkeit war mit ein Grund hier zu buchen.
Die Zimmer sind zwar relativ klein, beinhalten aber alles was man braucht. Fernseher im Zimmer sucht man hier allerdings vergebens, den haben wir aber auch nicht vermisst.
Das Generator Hostel hat uns gut gefallen und wir können es guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
