Lee Pace Talks 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Auditions

One of the actors on 'Guardians of the Galaxy' short list is talking about the audition process and we have all the details.
Lee Pace is having quite the year. You can currently see him in 'Breaking Dawn -- Part 2', 'Lincoln' and the very-soon-to-be released 'The Hobbit'. Pace spoke to MTV News at the premiere of 'The Hobbit' to talk about his 'Guardians' audition.
Lee told MTV News, "I go in on Monday to meet them all and audition so wish me luck. I'm very excited about it. The script is great. The character is a lot of fun."
The role he is talking about is for Star Lord aka Peter Quill, the U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and teams up with futuristic ex-cons to save the universe from mega baddie Thanos. Variety Reported last month that director James Gunn had narrowed down the role of Star Lord to a lucky five: Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess, Eddie Redmayne and Lee Pace.
'Guardians of the Galaxy' has a release date of August 1, 2014.
