STAR WARS EPISODE VII Finds Its Villain
As production on Star Wars Episode VII nears, we're finally getting some details on which actors will be joining the cast, including who may be playing the main villain. There has been a ton of casting rumors surrounding the new Star Wars trilogy with Lucasfilm so far only confirming that R2-D2 will return. We're pretty confident that original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will be reprising their roles and now it looks like they will have to face Girls star Adam Driver in a galaxy far, far away. Variety reports that Driver is close to signing a deal to play the main villain in the film, though no specifics on who exactly he'll play. This isn't the first time we've heard Driver's name mentioned. He was previously rumored to have auditioned for the role and has reportedly become the frontrunner to play the main baddie within the past few weeks. Sources are saying that no deal has officially been signed yet, because scheduling issues had to be worked out so filming on Star Wars wouldn't interfere with his commitments on the next and future seasons of HBO's Girls. Driver's role is apparently one that will be part of future installments as well as Episode VII. Production on Star Wars Episode VII is expected to begin in May for a December 18th, 2015 release.
