In the spirit of Earth Day the dose crew has put together a three-part series examining environmental issues that are currently affecting the action sports community. Part one highlights the air quality issue caused by inversions trapping smog in the Salt Lake City valley—a problem especially obvious to local skiers and snowboarders who can see just how severe the problem is from high above at local resorts. Residents in this major city feel the effects of this low hanging cloud of polluted air most severely in the winter months when it becomes trapped in the valley. Our host Tim Brodhagen speaks with top government officials and local snowboard pro Aaron Biittner about the issue first hand.
