More on the broken ZMR250 mini quadcopter arms and the whole matter of reviewing products.
The ZMR250 frame is inferior to the brand-name products I have looked at to date. That is a simple, undeniable fact -- and the stress analysis diagrams plus physical measurements in this video show one aspect of why this is true.
However, just because a Honda Civic is not as good a car as a Bugatti Veyron or Bently doesn't mean it isn't a good car in its own right -- and it is the same with many of the products I review.
The ZMR250 frame is not as good as the Blackout, QAV250 or MXP230 - but does that mean I'm unfairly knocking it?
Hell no!
It means that you would have be silly to expect that a $30 frame would be as good as a $150 frame.
Also remember that few people can afford to buy products based on price or performance alone. If that were the case, only the best performing and cheapest cars would ever find buyers.
People buy on *value* and value is the ratio of performance to price.
You will have to wait for part 2 of the ZMR250 review before you hear whether I think this frame is good value or not. Stay tuned!
