Piper Cub and Spitfire RC planes fight the wind
A Duralfly Spitfire and HobbyKing Piper Cub RC planes do battle with the stiff winds at Tokoroa Airfield. Fortunately, Caleb is a pretty good pilot so he strutted his stuff while down in Tokoroa again, having come from up North for the day.
Any video at this time of the year relies catching a break in the awful weather we tend to get around Easter time -- and sure enough, today the strong winds are laced with heavy rain again.
Note that in his infinite wisdom, Roger Fisher, consultant to the South Waikato District Council has once again banned all RC flying at the Tokoroa Airfield -- seemingly because he can't even be bothered doing any research into the perceived dangers associated with the effect of mobile phones on 2.4GHz RC gear.
Tragic really.
