I'm not sure why Hobbyking calls this a Red Arrow BAE Hawk when it is really a McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk. The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, is the aerobatics display team of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Scampton.
The McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk is a highly modified version of the BAE Hawk land-based training jet aircraft. Manufactured by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and British Aerospace (now BAE Systems), the T-45 is used by the United States Navy as an aircraft carrier-capable trainer.
Anyway, this is Dean flying his Goshawk from Hobby King. Dean swapped out the stock EDF fan unit in favor of a new 70mm 7 blade fan and powers it with an HK 2800kv inrunner and a 4s 2800mAh 30c Wild Scorpion lipo.
I had to look twice at the low price of the kit. It has no rudder control but seems to be a blast to fly.
I've always been a sucker for the US Navy red and white livery and this EDF looks great in the air!
