If you liked what Jon M. Chu did with GI Joe: Retaliation, then you will be happy to hear that the director is back for round three.GI Joe: Retaliation was a surprising hit at the box office this year, making its mark as the second largest Easter weekend opening ever. And this was really good news for a project that had several set backs, including a release date that was pushed back for almost a year because Jon M Chu wanted to make some creative changes AND convert the movie into 3D.Soon after its big opening weekend, we quickly got news that a third installment was in the works, and today Deadline is reporting that Jon M. Chu will be back to direct with Screenrant reporting that Retaliation scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also be coming back to write the script.GI Joe: Retaliation received better reviews than it's 2009 predecessor, GI Joe: Rise of Cobra, however many fans were still not too pleased with some of the plot lines and characters, claiming that they were underdeveloped and a bit thin.In part three, however, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told Deadline that he wants to really step it up as far as the story goes, and incorporate more of the ninja mythology this time around saying quote "I'd like to do more ninja story. That's really fun, and I think the mythology will support some really cool things."So with this news of Jon M Chu back on board, are any of you excited about this threequel? And if you had to choose one thing that you would want them to change in a part 3, what would it be?
