Sepp Schmirl was our special guest on the first "Sturmfliegen" on 1.10.2011 from the Gloggnitzer Auflieger group. This is the second video I did of his Cobra - and you can see that he learned much since the first vid in 2009!
The crash was sad to watch - but he managed the emergency very well!
Reason: the tailrotor (Fenestron) malfunctioned and he had to do an autorotation. I guess he didn't have enough alt to autorotate this heavy chopper without damage.
Filming location: Gloggnitz / Lower Austria / Austria / Europe
the mountainrange in the BG is RAX - the eastern beginning of the Austrian Alps
