Sam Mendes returns for the follow up to the highest grossing film, in the longest running film franchise. I am, of course, talking about Bond24! Sony just announced that director Sam Mendes, who also directed last years billion dollar Skyfall, will be back for the franchise follow up, which is set to arrive in US theaters on November 6th, 2015 and in theaters in the UK on October 23rd, 2015. And Medes isn't the only one coming back. Skyfall screenwriter, John Logan will pen the script once again and Daniel Craig will also be returning as the secret agent, James Bond in the 24th film in the franchise. Mendes just wrapped on his latest stage project, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and seemed to be very grateful to the producers for working with his schedule so that he could in fact direct in this franchise again. He said quote ""I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again." Everyone is excited to see where the Bond franchise will go next, and Sony Pictures CEO, Michael Lynton and Sony's Co-Chariman Amy Pascal said quote "EON, John Logan and Sam Mendes have come up with an extraordinary follow up to SKYFALL and we, along with our partners at MGM, can't wait to share this new chapter with audiences all over the world."
