FTDI USB Convertor Driver Fix
FTDI some time back started bricking counterfeit FTDI chips unfortunately some of use have bought FTDI adapters thinking they were legit only to have them not work correctly.
After the initial backlash of the bricking FTDI decided to no longer brick counterfeit devices instead they made the drivers no longer work correctly with them so while the driver will load and everything looks like it should work it will not.
To resolve this problem we need to downgrade the FTDI drivers to a older version that does not behave this way. Below is a link to the older version drivers that work just fine.
