Blade Inductrix 2 bladed prop test and single blade SR 120 Heli demo.
According to theorists, Bumble bees aren't supposed to fly either! I was a Physics major and know the cons! All I wanted to do was increase flight times, as I don't care about performance on these tiny machines.After Adrian in Switzerland saw my first 1 blade heli video, he made this T Rex 3D heli flying video.
I am just a casual flyer and proved to myself over the years, less blades increased my flight times. Plus I actually tried it. More of my one bladed heli experiments can also be seen here. If it sounds stupid but it works, it ain't stupid. I also didn't see a big performance difference on the Inductrix anyway. As you saw previously, I increased my flight time with the 3 bladed Props over the 4. Now I try the 2 bladed props, which have less mass to get spinning and gained even more time!
Again, all my big quads have 2 bladed props, including the Racing Quad. These 4 bladed props seem to be only on the smaller quads anyway. I didn't see much difference in performance, only flight time increases. I also fly a blade 120 with a single blade, so those skeptics can see what I see and learned from actually doing it.Its all just for fun anyway.
