Skywalker FPV 2014 - GoPro pan/tilt

I've been "ummung" and "arrring" whether to cut the beginning of this video out. My reason for saying "I've decided to knock it on the head with mini quads" is because.......Since the loss of my Armattan FPV (the final figure is over £1,000) I've been thinking hard about the hobby in general.
All I want to do is drive to the field, talk crap, sit down and fly without the worry of something coming off, breaking, glitching etc. and I can't do this with crappy components.
Everything I've built recently has been on quite a low budget - my Armattan had a crappy 200mw VTX fitted - if I'd fitted my usual ImmersionRC 600mw VTX, I would probably have seen where it went down but unfortunately, I couldn't afford one because I'd got loads of different projects going on at the same time. I've had loads of private messages from large suppliers, asking me to review their stuff and I've always rejected their offer, because "I don't do cheap stuff" and here I am, using cheap stuff on things that cost a fortune.
When I flew my Skywalker for the first time (which is made of top-quality components except for the motor) I finally found something I can relax and enjoy. I'd much prefer to have 1 machine that's flawless, than a load of machines with potential faults!
I'll still fly mini quads and my Armattan, but I won't be building any new ones (unless a supplier offers me a mega frame) and I'll be methodically changing the cheap components in all the frames I have, for decent stuff.
Also, I'll keep posting my usual crappy 'how to' videos and anything I buy new.
Anyway, back to the Skywalker..........
I got rid of the FPV pan/tilt and put a GWS digital sail servo (S125 6T D) on it, along with a (full size) tilt servo. It's better, because I can attach the GoPro. The resolution isn't as good as I wanted because I'm stupid and got the 6 turn one instead of the 1 turn. Never mind, it works quite well and I do have a 360 coming soon :-)
I'm still working on my ground station so I can do some long range. One day, I'll finish it but it'll be a long time before I can save enough to buy the equipment I want.

I'd never have imagined that a boring one-man band would create such popularity - nearly 1,500 subscribers so I must be doing something right :-)
