The level of youth skateboarding is absolutely mind blowing right now. Minna Stess is an 8-year-old skater from Petaluma, California, and on July 3, she dropped in on the MegaRamp at Woodward West in Tehachapi, California. Stess, who's favorite skater is Bob Burnquist, stood atop the 27-foot quarterpipe and dropped in clean. She was nervous at first, but as soon she rolled away her first thought was that it was really easy.
Even though she is only 8, Minna has been progressing to this point for some time. When she was 3, she went to see the X Games 3D movie and saw Burnquist riding the MegaRamp at his house. As soon as she saw it, Minna poked her mom and said, "I want to do THAT!"
