FX797T Ultra micro FPV system antenna repair
This little FPV system is everywhere. You may see it as a Spekrum VS1100 Spektrum VA1100, FX797T, RMRC Cricket 5.8 kit (FX797T) and probably other model numbers.
The cloverleaf antenna is very delicate and breaks easily. It is easily repaired, but I replaced mine with a 1/2 wave dipole and it actually works better for me.
Orientation is not an issue because I fly in stabilized mode exclusively. I get about the same range, but better penetration through walls/trees etc.
This kind if surprised me as I am used to the circular polarized antennas being the bomb. Maybe some other issue going on in my location, but this is working for me.
