ROMO Romo from Romotive, The Smartphone Robot was one of our favorite new toys from Toy Fair 2013. There are so many different uses for Romo and we love how you can program Romo. We believe people will creat Romo actions and personalities and share them with others. While the Romo already looks very impressive, this is really just the beginning. As the programmers expand on all the capabilities of the iPhone, Romo is only going to get better.
The idea of using Romo for video Skype calls is very interesting. Have a friend 3,000 miles away? He can still virtually attend your party by controlling Romo. He controls Romo from his computer or iPhone app and suddenly Romo becomes his eyes and ears for your party. He can drive Romo, tilt him for the best angle and talk back via Romo.
We can't wait to get a sample Romo unit so we can do some real world testing and a full hands-on review of Romo.
