Captain America: The Winter Soldier Review►
The Captain America sequel just hit theaters, but if you can believe it, we are already hearing some plans about Captain America 3!
I know that many of you maybe haven't had a chance to go out and see Captain America: The Winter Solider yet, and if you haven't then get yourself to a theater STAT! Also, it may be safe to assume that this video could venture into spoiler territory, so HERE WE GO!
We already knew that screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were working on the script to the third Captain America installment, but in an interview with Collider these two have divulged a few tid bits that I thought you guys may want to know about.
First up, Markus and McFeely said that the project is still in the early stages of development, but that they are currently outlining. Even more interesting is that it seems like there will be a lot of people vying for screen time in part 3 with Markus saying "We now have an embarrassment of interesting characters to deal with, so...you've got to make a plot that's going to get everybody in motion and yet keep Cap at the [center]."
As you would expect, the duo has read Joss Whedon's script for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and will definitely use that story to help set up Cap 3's plot, and the other good news is that McFeely is "feeling" The Avengers 2 script, and he thinks it will be a good launching point for Captain America's story saying quote "I'm very pleased with the way Joss handled Cap in [Avengers] 2. I'm pleased where we can get him, and I have no complaints about what we can do."
But here is where the spoiler alert comes into play people! If you've seen The Winter Solider, you know that there is a big ole question mark regarding what will happen to Bucky Barnes in future Marvel Films! And it seems like we're not the only ones that were left wondering. Markus specifically mentioned that because Captain America is becoming more and more adjusted into society, there are fewer issues that really are challenging for him. However, Markus said that the Winter Soldier is quote "all issues." and that "he's just a screwed up, walking-around crazy person." and that they're still trying to figure out what role he is going to play next that will balance his character with Captain America's.
Now, if you haven't yet and you own one, go ahead and mark your 2016 calendars for May 6th, because that's when Captain America 3 will go head to head in theaters against the Batman/Superman movie.
