This one is interesting in that it's powered by a new ARM processor that offers both slower power saving cores and performance cores that together make this Chromebook faster than those powered by most Intel Celeron processors.
The IPS touch display is bright, clear, and sharp. It offers wide viewing angles and overall is a nice experience. The keyboard is great and the trackpad is spongy but good overall. I like the port options on here including an all purpose USB-C port that allows power, data, and video to function over a single connection.
My only gripe is the hinge while it's in tablet mode. It flexes quite a bit in the tablet configuration and I worry that it will not hold up over time. It feels like it can easily snap off if enough force is applied.
Performance is great especially given it's running an ARM processor. On the Google Octane Benchmark test I get a score of 9,575 which is much higher than the 8,186 score I received on the Acer Chromebook 14 that is powered by an Intel Celeron processor.
All in this is a decent Chromebook that's worthy of consideration - especially given its touch display will be well suited for the Android / Google Play apps that will be coming to the platform later in 2017.
